WHO WE ARE
World travelers passionate about gastronomy
We are Sabrina and Julien, from a South of France Franco-Italo-Polish family on one side, and from a Paris Burgundian family, on the other.
We love traveling, meeting people with other cultures, reading, gastronomy and oenology.
Kind of disappointed by our office jobs, often impersonal, abstract and frustrating, we have opted for a simpler and more gratifying life by choosing an activity matching our passions. This is how, returning from a one-year round-the-world backpacking trip in 2012, we decided to share our experience in guest houses with travelers who whish to visit Menton and its region in a more personal way. And so we made this family home, Villa Baïna, our own guest house.
While keeping its rustic charm, with decorations, sculptures, personal paintings (because yes, we are also a family of "artists"), we added our own touch to the place with pictures of our travels and made this villa a place of dream and well-being.
Very quickly, our culinary curiosity and our taste for authentic products, added to the familial savoir-faire in making limoncello, made us begin to test different recipes, first for our own entertainment, then used as welcome gifts and souvenirs for our guests.
Since 2015 we decided to take our chance, and we are proposing a large panel of home-made, hand-cooked jams and limoncello made with our lemons.
The Menton lemon recently got its IGP (Protected Geographic Indication) quality label, which conforted us in this project.
With the complementarity of those two activities, we wish to make our guests discover the life and food of our region as a local could, with special tips for enjoying off the beaten track experiences.
We are looking forward to welcoming you in our wonderful villa!
